I just wanted to note a typical day here, as an explanation to why I have not posted since Sept of 2008.
So...this is Monday. Yesterday was Mother's day, so we spent the day in 'rest', had a nice visit with Dan and my mother, and went off about our day finding summer shoes for the kids and enjoying a picnic at the playground afterward. That was in College Park, MD - about 30 minutes away. We got home in time to put the kids down for bed; I jumped onto the computer, hoping for 10 minutes of inspiration to resolve some lingering technical issues from the previous week (on an online service I am building with RBanks) - which was successful! - and then down to complete watching a film with Veronika.
Next week I am out of town for the week; so I booked a flight this morning. That has been on hold because I still do not have a credit card to replace the one that was comprimised over a month ago. Somehow, Chase has not managed to get replacement cards to our house, after 2 attempts. So I called Chase this morning to get a 3rd set sent, and of course that was frustrating from the moment I tried to find a phone # for them on their website. Ha! Then I needed to write a sympathy card for our mortgage broker we are refinancing with, due to a death in his family. Now I can work. Simon will be home in 1.5 hours, and then it's lunchtime. Why don't I call anyone..???? hehhhh Wish I could! Still, I should be looking for a job, since my current post expires next Friday. Ouch! Well, it's all good, anyway. :)
Did I mention? Anna is not just walking and talking, but she's also decided to potty train herself!! Amazing. Yes, the talking - she's 1-3/4 YO now, and a little parrot, says all kinds of things, like when Simon chirped at her this morning to go chase Tiji (the cat) and "have fun", she went waddling off like a penguin and said "...have...fun..." in her little voice. Adorable!
